DID YOU KNOW?
By Mickey Felldown

Ron Santoro  joined the BVBC in 1995 after picking up club literature at the Bike Expo. Wanting to ride the Door County Century, Ron heard that the BVBC went up as a group. Some little known facts:

  •  In the last 5 years Ron has ridden fourteen (14) centuries!

  •  He is a "born again" bicyclist since 1990

  •  His favorite century is the Door County Century

  •  Longest daily mileage was 108 miles (why is it that centuries are always 105, 104, 108 but never exactly 100 miles!)

  •  Rode the Best Dam Bike Tour in 95 and the Leukemia Ride in 95 and 96

  •  Frequent rider of SAGBRAW (5 straight)

  •  In 1991 spent a week on his bike riding to Elroy-Sparta, The Great River Trail, and The 400 Trail in Western Wisconsin - camping at different parks (PERROT State Park was best.)

  •  Rides a Harley Davidson Motor Cycle. In 1997, 1999 and 2000, he went to Daytona with George Remlinger and Dick Knepper

  •  His current bicycle is a TREK 5200

  •  When he is not riding on his "bikes", Ron enjoys dining out and computer stuff. Check out his very own web site at www. execpc.com/~santoro. NOW YOU KNOW.

(This is the second in a series of monthly interviews of BVBC members. We hope that you enjoy them, and remember, you may be the next member targeted by the mysterious Mickey Felldown!!)
